Welcome to The Hazelwood Academy, a Pre-Nursery to Senior College school for children in Abuja and Kaduna.
The Hazelwood Academy was established in August 2018 as a result of a burning passion to provide children with foundational skills to help them to attain excellence in the academic and social aspects of their development.
Our rich curriculum and the excellent academic performance of our students over the years has made our school to become one of the most sought-after schools in Abuja and all over Kaduna.
At Hazelwood, we understand how boys and girls grow and learn. Therefore, we use a modern curriculum that makes learning easy for our students. Furthermore, our teachers are certified, and our classes are equipped with state-of-art learning materials. While we train our students to become global citizens, we celebrate the values and heritage of Nigeria.
Our Director once said, ‘Children are blank sheets that God has given us the priviledge to write on’.

Our Abuja campus occupies 1.5 Hectares of Hillcrest Estate, behind Dodoma filling station, Lokogoma.
Academic programs
Hazelwood Early Years is a happy and fun place for our very youngest learners. Children from ages 24 months to 3 years are nurtured within a safe and secure environment
The Primary formative years are set to secure a high level of functionality and effectiveness in the core skills which include: mental arithmetics, geometry, reading, oral and written communication. The school provides learners aged 4 - 10 with the opportunity to develop a life-long love of learning. Children benefit from medium class sizes and an enquiry based curriculum.
In our college section, the scope of the curriculum widens to include a broader subject base all in accordance to the directives of the Ministry of Education in Nigeria. Our aim is to equip our students with the right set of skills and work ethic to achieve excellent results in any external examination.
Our college section is fully equipped for Senior Secondary Science, Commercial and Arts Students!

These approaches include the use of activity based learning as well as the use of virtual learning environment among others.

Our Mission is to equip children with foundational skills that will set them on the right path to becoming responsible and successful adults. To achieve this, we offer a curriculum that is both relevant and challenging in an ambient environment that provides the beyond the classroom experience.
